Bennett

This is the revised version of my muse. The revised profile sheet isn't finished yet, but I wanted to share this guy's new look. I'm really happy with this one!

Kliment

This is an original character that I made while working on something else in school. I really liked him but he didn't fit the project that I was doing at the time so I put him aside. This is a rough colour of him that I did quickly on photoshop in my spare time.

Exploration #13

For our Character Design class our wonderful teacher is getting us to complete exercises from a book called How to be an Explorer of the World. This photo is for Exploration #13: Collecting type. I enjoyed gluing different interesting pieces of paper with writing on it into my book. COMPLETED

Exploration #32

For our Character Design class our wonderful teacher is getting us to complete exercises from a book called How to be an Explorer of the World. These photos are for Exploration #32: World of Magic. The point is to collect objects and make up a story or magical property for them.

Object #1: Magic berry. This berry looks like a egg, and if kept warm and dry for long enough it will hatch into a tiny white and brown speckled bird.

Object #2: This blue stone allows you to see things for what they truly are when looked though when it is wet. Useful for finding other magical objects.

Object #3: This small, shiny white rock unties people's shoes when they walk by it.

Object #4: These berries, when used as a pigment in paint, cause whatever you create to come to life.

Object #5: This tiny leaf is actually a fairy umbrella. It could also be used as material for clothes.

Blind Contours

In life drawing this morning we did an exercise where we drew what are called blind contours. Basically, you concentrate on the model and with out looking at your paper you draw their outline, moving your eyes and your hand in sync with each other. These took 15 minutes each, and the second one was done with my non-dominant hand.
